What makes for peace

“As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, ‘If this day you only knew what makes for peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes.’” (LK 19: 41-42)

Our Lord is the Prince of Peace, and true peace comes from Him as a gift. We are responsible to recognize “what makes for peace.” The devil, this world, and our unbalanced lives cause it to be “hidden from our eyes.” But when we ask and when we pray, we can receive this gift—so important for our homes, families and professions.
