We are one Body in Christ and individually parts of one another

“We, though many, are one Body in Christ and individually parts of one another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them…” (ROM 12: 5-6)

Every marriage and every community knows how difficult it is to be one body when we are “individually parts of one another.” Fortunately, “we have gifts that differ,” but we are united by our nature—we are God’s children, and He made us “one Body in Christ.” Whenever we find ourselves more focused on differences, we should look for what we have in common.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord.” (Gospel Acclamation)
