Too small to be among the clans of Judah

“You, Bethlehem-Ephrathah, too small to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel.” (1 MIC 5: 1)

God’s point of view is totally different from ours. He is not looking for the best, the outstanding, the extraordinary, etc., but for someone small, humble, and ordinary. Perfection comes from Him and is His gift for us.
