To love Him with all your heart…

“Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, He is ‘One and there is no other than he. And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” (MK 12: 32-33)

How important are our hearts to Our Lord—more important “than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When we invite Him into our hearts in Holy Communion, we can pray, contemplate and adore Our Lord “with all our understanding, [and] with all our strength.”
