The desert will exult

“The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom. They will bloom with abundant flowers, and rejoice with joyful song.” (IS 35: 1-2) 

On Tuesday we compared marriage life to the desert—a place abandoned where there is no activity. We were advised to make our married life very active during this season of Advent with daily dialog and time spent together. Today we see the results: “the desert and the parched land will exult… They will bloom with abundant flowers, and rejoice with joyful song.”
