Strive for peace with everyone

“Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (HEB 12: 14)

This is a real challenge—“strive for peace with everyone.” Especially “with everyone,” because it also means with ourselves. How easily we can lose our inner peace because something is not like we want or because somebody is not like we expect. “Strive” is proactive; “strive” requires from us action and motivation: peace is an effect of my efforts, not just a nice sensation or emotion.
