She had heard about Jesus

“She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. She said, ‘If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.’ Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.” (MK 5: 27-29)

She was desperate to find a cure for her affliction. She spent years looking for it, and nothing happened. But “she had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak.” She believed that “if I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.” We also have heard about Jesus, probably from the beginning of our lives. We also can bring to Him all our wounds, diseases and infirmities, believing that we will be cured.

“Christ took away our infirmities and bore our diseases.” (Gospel Acclamation)
