My disciple

“If anyone comes to me without hating his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.” (LK 14: 26-27)

To know how to love “father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even our own lives,” we need to learn from Our Lord, Who is the only One who knows what love really means. He gave His life for us because He loves us. To be “His disciple” is a privilege and vocation. His disciples became apostles, leaders of the Church. Today’s disciples are responsible for leading us to heaven through love, learned from Him.

“If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of God rests upon you.” (Gospel Acclamation)
