Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom

November 20, 2016 6:00 am

“‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ He replied to him, ‘Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.’” (LK 23: 42-43)

Our Lord remembers about us always. We were loved when He was among us, and we are loved when He is in His kingdom, and Our Lord wants us “to be with Him in Paradise.” The destiny for us is “to be with Him.” It was enough for Our Lord that one of the criminals show his compassion and ask—“Jesus, remember me when you came into your kingdom”—to show Him mercy and take him to Paradise.

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is to come!” (Gospel Acclamation)
