If it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them

“So now I tell you, have nothing to do with these men, and let them go. For if this endeavor or this activity is of human origin, it will destroy itself. But if it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them; you may even find yourselves fighting against God.” (ACTS 5: 38-39)

This rule applies to so many situations in the life of the Church, not only at the beginning—like the Apostles’ time, but also today. Every initiative meets some difficulties, some rejection or criticism; it is so important to distinguish—”if this endeavor or this activity is of human origin or if it comes from God.” Patience, humility, dependence and fidelity while carrying out the mission received from Him will bring even more fruits.

“One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” (Gospel Acclamation)
