I wish that where I am they also may be with me

“I wish that where I am they also may be with me, that they may see my glory that you gave me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world. ” (JN 17: 24)

This is a basic dream for everyone who loves—to be united and to be connected, never separated, and when separation is necessary (like all kinds of missions)—just for a reasonable time. When we are parents, we know that one day our children will start their independent lives, but we hope that their choices will be based on good values and that we will be close to each other, even when far away in distance. Our Lord wants us in Heaven, together with His Father and the Holy Spirit, because He loves us.

“May they all be one as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that the world may believe that you sent me, says the Lord.” (Gospel Acclamation)
