I will give you rest

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (MT 11: 28-30) 

Our Lord knows perfectly how difficult it is to be His disciples in this world where in business people expect from us effects and results and where in relationships people expect from us only pleasure. He knows what “labor and burden” means because people were enjoying His presence when He gave them bread and cured their sick, but in the end, they crucified Him. He teaches us: “learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest.”
