He saw a man named….

“As Jesus passed by, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the customs post. He said to him, ‘Follow me.’ And he got up and followed him.” (MT 9: 9)

How many of us have survived because we have met Jesus’ eyes? How important was the moment when “He saw” us? Only Our Lord can see hearts, their beauty, and the potential hidden from others. Our Lord can reveal our vocation and our gifts. Too often, our environment can see only our limitations, our weaknesses, and no potential at all. Thank God, there is always Our Lord Who sees.
