God so loved the world

“God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” (JN 3: 16)

This is probably the most familiar sentence from the Bible and the most important. It is also the essence of the Bible’s message, the reasons for our existence, and for Our Lord’s incarnation and crucifixion—“God so loved the world.” Our presence, our lives and our history are based on one fact—we are loved. By God!
