Faith working through love

“For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.” (Gal 5: 6)

This is the final test of our every action—love. We believe in God who is love. When our faith drives us into judging, comparing, being “better” or “more pious,” we are in real danger. Our faith, a gift from God, should open our eyes and hearts to others. Our main and only concern is to imitate Our Lord’s love to our brothers and sisters—to make the others happy, not ourselves. This is real happiness.

“Whoever wishes to come after me, must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me, says the Lord.” (Communion Antiphon)
