Courage, child, your sins are forgiven

“After entering a boat, Jesus made the crossing, and came into his own town. And there people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, ‘Courage, child, your sins are forgiven.’” (MT 9: 1-2)

Our Lord gives us always what is the most important. In the hierarchy of values we teach during the Programs, our relationship with God is the most important. First comes the “message of reconciliation”: “your sins are forgiven,” second a consequence: “Rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home.”

“God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.” (Gospel Acclamation)
