Called to fellowship with Jesus Christ

“He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 COR 1: 8-9)

Jesus Christ is not only our Lord, Redeemer and Savior but also our companion—“we were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” The closer we are to Him, the safer we are: “He will keep us firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” We are always protected.
