Build together

“Through him the whole structure is held together and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord; in him you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (EPH 2: 21-22)

St. Pope Paul VI reminded us in his encyclical letter “Humanae vitae”: “that husband and wife become in a way one heart and one soul and together attain their human fulfillment” (HV, 9). “One heart and one soul” and “together” corresponds with “being built together into a dwelling place.” This is the way of living for married couples—remembering about their unity, looking for everything which makes them “one heart and one soul,” and remembering that their unique talent lies in being together because they are “built together.”

“Be vigilant at all times and pray that you may have the strength to stand before the Son of Man.” (Gospel Acclamation)
