Be holy, for I, the Lord, your God, am holy

“The LORD said to Moses, ‘Speak to the whole assembly of the children of Israel and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD, your God, am holy.’” (LV 19: 1-2)

God wants us to “be holy, for I the Lord, your God, am holy,” and all his requirements are based on what we do for others. True holiness is based on our similarity to God, Who is love and Who loves us. When we love others, we become like He is.
