He sent them ahead of Him in pairs to every town He intended to visit.

“Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit.” (LK 10: 1)

I strongly believe that in our times, Our Lord also appoints married couples as “other  disciples” and sends them “ahead of Him in pairs to every town and place He intended to visit.” Our programs have started in new places (like Wrocław and Brussels, like Glasgow and Mexico, like Kraków and Omaha, like Bogota and Hastings, like Rybnik and Atlanta) because married couples want our programs in their cities and towns. Today’s “disciples in pairs”—married couples—are so needed because they know how important love is, and they know how to protect love.

heir angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.” (MT 18: 10)

My favorite feast-Our Guardian Angels. I love them so much. They are always with us, protecting, inspiring and showing us where to go. Whatever we do, wherever we go, whatever we experience, we can always count on them. We are happy to have them by our side.

“Bless the LORD, all you angels, you ministers, who do his will.” (Gospel Acclamation)

‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’

“In those days ten men of every nationality, speaking different tongues, shall take hold, yes, take hold of every Jew by the edge of his garment and say, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’” (ZEC 8: 23)

One man, a true believer, can inspire “ten men of every nationality, speaking different tongues.” We have a huge responsibility within our families and workplaces, in our parishes and in our neighborhoods. When people can see how much we love our spouses, how much we respect them and how creative and joyful we are in being a giver of self, it will be much easier for them to follow our example.

“The Son of Man came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Gospel Acclamation)
