Whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.

“Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.” (JN 12: 44-45)

We can see properly only when we love. Only love helps us to see the truth. As we fall in love, emotions enable us to see only what is good for us; we naturally eliminate anything that is not perfect because we want to be in love with a “perfect” match. Unconsciously we “see” only good traits, positive elements of character, and everything which makes us happy. With Our Lord and His love, we see what is good for us and what is good for others. We see God’s love, always oriented on serving, giving, supporting, and comforting.
