Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother

“A crowd seated around him told him, ‘Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.’ But he said to them in reply, ‘Who are my mother and my brothers?’ And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.’” (MK 3: 32-35)

We are not only children of God but also relatives of Our Lord, who called us: “brother and sister and mother.” It is so good to remember His words, especially when we feel alone, abandoned or misunderstood. He is always with us because He loves us, and He wants us to be with Him in the best possible relationship.

“Now the ruler of the world will be driven out, says the Lord; and when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.” (Gospel Acclamation)
