Unlawful on the sabbath

“While Jesus was going through a field of grain on a sabbath, his disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them. Some Pharisees said, ‘Why are you doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?’” (LK 6: 1-2)

Again, like yesterday, Our Lord reminds us of what is really important and what is not. Our faith is not a healthy, heavenly diet; it is a powerful life-changer. What we really need is to grow in love day after day.
