Self-centered persons are never happy. There is always more to achieve, more to have, more things needed to make us happy. The world seen from the ego-perspective is full of demands, lack of respect, and gentleness. What we would like to do is to change ourselves: make us givers, not demanders, and altruists, not egoists. And this is a totally different world.
