to receive mercy and to find grace

March 30, 2018 9:54 am

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,  but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.” (HEB 4: 15-16)

Our Lord knows everything about human nature; He is the One, “Who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin.” We can always ask Him for help; we can trust Him and “confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.”

“Christ became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every other name.” (Gospel Acclamation)
