To little ones (Solemnity of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus)

“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to little ones.” (MT 11: 25)

It is so good to be “a little one.” “The wise and the learned” are educated, but they do not always recognize God’s message about love and a gift of self. They are thinking, but not always loving, they calculate, but do not always trust totally, they are smart, but they can not always see God’s presence in their lives. The “little ones” love, trust, and live in God’s presence and under God’s providence. 

“Take my yoke upon you, says the Lord; and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” (Gospel Acclamation)
