To justify himself

“But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbor?’” (LK 10: 29)

We spoke during Programs and here many times about being proactive or being reactive. We remember the difference: looking for an excuse or to take responsibility (extreme ownership). Today Gospel speaks about looking for an excuse, “to justify himself.” We want to go Our Lord’s way—do what should be done. Love is about giving unconditionally.
