To his Twelve disciples

July 16, 2018 6:00 am

“When Jesus finished giving these commands to his Twelve disciples, he went away from that place to teach and to preach in their towns.” (MT 11: 1)

Our Lord’s “Twelve disciples” were very important to Him, and He spent a lot of time with them, not only “giving these commands,” but also sharing His life with them. They were first, then “he went away from that place to teach and to preach in their towns.” The same is with us: our spouses are first, then children and after them—others.

“Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.” (Gospel Acclamation)
