The Son give life to whomever he wishes

“For just as the Father raises the dead and gives life, so also does the Son give life to whomever he wishes. Nor does the Father judge anyone, but he has given all judgment to the Son, so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.” (JNWed. 5: 21-23)

We were created to live forever. Because of original sin, we have to die, but “as the Father raises the dead and gives life, so also does the Son give life.” There is life after life. The Scriptures say that “the Son give[s] life to whomever he wishes.” When we pray at the Church for our relatives, we strongly believe that our prayers and intervention are very helpful. Our Lord gave His life for us.

“I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord; whoever believes in me will never die.”
