the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you

“Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” (MT 7, 1-2)

We know how important it is to protect ourselves from mistaken patterns of interpretation from our inner dialog. It is important not only for our spouses and children, our friends and neighbors, but also it is so important for ourselves. When we judge, we change our identity from spouses to judges. When a judge is a profession, it takes years of study and practice on how to be honest and professional; when we judge because we know better, we are in danger.

“The word of God is living and effective, able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.” (Gospel Acclamation)
