Strengthened the spirits of the disciples

“They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith, saying, ‘It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.’” (ACTS 14: 22)

“It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God,” reminded St. Paul, who was a perfect example of this. He knew how important it is to be totally dedicated to Our Lord, to put Him in first place, and to trust Him in everything. Whenever St. Paul was on his mission, he “strengthened the spirits of the disciples,” reminding us of what Our Lord did for us and our salvation.
