Store up treasures in heaven

“But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” (MT 6: 20-21)

Our modern “treasures” could be a good job or career, popularity or success, importance or wealth. They are good when they are a means to an end: Heaven. When our job or career takes us from our homes, popularity or success takes us from truth, and importance and wealth takes us from normal relationships, we are in danger. “Store up treasures in heaven”
