Restorer of ruined homesteads

“The ancient ruins shall be rebuilt for your sake, and the foundations from ages past you shall raise up; ‘Repairer of the breach,’ they shall call you, ‘Restorer of ruined homesteads.’” (IS 58: 12)

If we really want to change our lives during Lent, we should start with the most important things—change ourselves for the benefit of our relatives. Our spouses are the most important persons for us, after them our children; we change ourselves for them, to make them the most happy persons in our lives. This Lent is an occasion to “repair and restore” whatever needs to be repaired and restored in our relationships.
