Rejected, killed, and raised.

“The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.” (LK 9: 22)

Sometimes, depends on the moment of our spiritual journey, we can listen only one part: be rejected (because we experienced rejection), or be killed (because my spouse left me and I feel like I am killed), or being raised (because we found love, or finally we born a child after so many years of suffering from infertility). Our Lord asks us today to expand our horizon, not focus only on one part, but to see the whole picture. “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end” (John Lennon).

“Repent, says the Lord; the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Verse before the Gospel)
