O woman, great is your faith!

“‘It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.’ She said, ‘Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters.’ Then Jesus said to her in reply, ‘O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.’ And the woman’s daughter was healed from that hour.” (MT 15: 26-28)

How amazing is a mother’s love. Her gift of self and her unconditional love for her daughter gave her wisdom and touched Our Lord’s heart: “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” Her only right to beg came from her love. When we love we can expect the same kind of miracles because Our Lord “cured every disease among the people.”  

“Jesus proclaimed the Gospel of the kingdom and cured every disease among the people.
