Mary set out and traveled to Elizabeth

May 31, 2017 7:32 am

“Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.” (Lk 1: 39-41)

Our Lady, Mother of God, is present in many places all over the world. She is always close to us–she greets, she listens, she answers, she protects. Today’s feast reminds us that we can always put our trust in her, and she will always come.

“Blessed are you, O Virgin Mary, who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” (Gospel Acclamation)
