love grows ever greater

“We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater.” (2 Thes 1: 3)

“Faith flourishes ever more,” and “love . . . grows ever greater” is possible, so we can work on it. Love is a word and is an action; when we do something to love our spouses more, to be better as a spouse or to bring more joy—love “grows ever greater.” When we pray regularly (not only when peaceful and relaxed but also when tired and exhausted) and when we adore God and praise Him in all our circumstances—“faith flourishes ever more.”
