it is not lawful for you to have your brothers’s wife

“John had said to Herod, ‘It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.’ Herodias harbored a grudge against him and wanted to kill him but was unable to do so.” (MK 6: 18-19) 

Protecting marriage has a price. Sometimes the biggest one, like somebody’s life, or a smaller one, like not being popular. Protecting marriage means also helping them to understand how they can grow together and be safe in their relationship. It is so frustrating, that people can spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to have a better business or a larger income but do not understand how important their relationship is. Money without a personal, happy relationship is just the smallest kind of wealth, the most limited.
