Is he not the carpenter’s son?

“Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds? Is he not the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Are not his sisters all with us? Where did this man get all this?” And they took offense at him.” (MT 13: 54-57)

This is why we put so great concern on our premises. With our beliefs comes the interpretation: what we can expect from “the carpenter’s son”? we know his cousins—they are ordinary people. Our problems start when we have bad premises about our relationships, our spouses and the quality of their signs of love.
