I desire mercy, not sacrifice

“If you knew what this meant, I desire mercy, not sacrifice, you would not have condemned these innocent men. For the Son of Man is Lord of the sabbath.” (MT 12: 7) 

Our Lord is merciful, and He expects from us that our first reaction will be looking for forgiveness and looking for a defense rather than for accusations or my rights. This is why we put in our Program a very important element—how to defend my spouse from accusations–how to protect, instead of attack. We “hear His voice,” and we follow Him, our Merciful Lord.
