How often must I forgive him?

“Peter approached Jesus and asked him, ‘Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.’” (MT 18: 21-22)

The same common question like with a gift of self—how often? Especially when he/she is not like me, and we are tempted to demand, to expect, to receive. Love is in giving, in being focused on our spouses first, in forgetting and in forgiveness. Love is a free, creative and joyful gift of self.
