“My brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand through the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who was the guide for those who arrested Jesus. Judas was numbered among us and was allotted a share in this ministry. For it is written in the Book of Psalms: Let his encampment become desolate, and may no one dwell in it. And: May another take his office”. (Acts 1:16-20).

Our Lord is gone. He’s come back to His Father. For the Apostles every day brings new situations and decisions to be made, but there is no one to ask for advice. He is gone. Fortunately “it is written in the Book of Psalms” and we know how to proceed. He is always present in His word. The more we know His words, the more we know Him. “Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ” (St. Jerome).
