Give and gifts will be given to you

“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” (LK 6: 37-38)

All of this advice sounds really simple and possible, butwe know how difficult it can be to put this guidance into practice. “Judging” and “condemning” are connected with self-centeredness ; without becoming a gift of self and forgiveness, this change is impossible, but when they are introduced in “a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, [gifts] will be poured into our lap.”
