Be perfect. 

“So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (MT 5: 48)

Our Lord expects us to be perfect, but He sees perfection in loving, not doing things perfectly. God’s perfection is in being in a relationship with others, not being better in doing things, having a better job, living in a bigger house, or having a higher position. This kind of perfection brings us closer to heaven and our brothers and sisters—they are more secure with us because our only concern is to love, to respect, to be gentle, and to be givers of selves. 

“Behold now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (Verse before the Gospel)
