at your command

“After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.’ Simon said in reply, ‘Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets.’ When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing.” (LK 5: 4-6)

“Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets”—this is about trust and about faith. When we bring our relationship to the Program I and You equals WE, Jesus will invite us put it “into deep water.” We could be tired of trying to survive in our relationship, but when we are invited by Our Lord, we can experience miracles.

“Come after me and I will make you fishers of men.” (Gospel Acclamation)
