All amazed at his every deed

“While they were all amazed at his every deed, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Pay attention to what I am telling you. The Son of Man is to be handed over to men.’” (LK 9: 43-44)

It happened to the Apostles and it could happen also to us; they were amazed at his deeds, but they didn’t recognize the mystery of the cross. With every deed as an act of love, Our Lord came closer and closer to the most generous, unconditional act of love—to give His life for us. “Jesus destroyed death and brought life to light through the Gospel.”
