Achieving the end for which I sent it

July 16, 2017 6:00 am

“Thus says the LORD: Just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down and do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, giving seed to the one who sows and bread to the one who eats, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; my word shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it.” (IS 55: 10-11)

We should trust Him more than ourselves. Whatever He said and whatever He did, it was motivated by His love and for our good. It takes time in our lives; like it takes time for “the rain and snow [to] come down and do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful.” It takes time, but “all who come to him will have life forever.”

“The seed is the word of God, Christ is the sower. All who come to him will have life forever.” (Gospel Acclamation)
