Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

“Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” (LK 6: 37-38)

We practice forgiveness. It is important to forgive; as a result, we, too, “will be forgiven.” We practice giving. For us, giving is an indication that we are living in abundance. Our Lord told us: “I have come that all may have life, and may have it abundantly” (JN 10:10). When we give, we share with others our abundant life. The more we give, the more we receive. The Gospel is simple. Express what is in your heart, and your heart will be filled with things that matter for you.

“Your words, Lord, are Spirit and life; you have the words of everlasting life.” (Verse before the Gospel)
