the days will come

January 21, 2019 6:00 am

“Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast on that day.” (MK 2: 19-20)

This is a very good strategy for all kinds of situations, when we feel alone, abandoned and with no connection with God at all; we feel like “the bridegroom is taken away from” us. This is a perfect time for fasting: “they will fast on that day.”

“The word of God is living and effective, able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.” (Gospel Acclamation)

They have no wine

January 20, 2019 6:00 am

“There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’”

Our Lady takes care of us in every kind of situation. When She is invited into our lives, She will keep Her eyes open and will react to our needs: “When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’” She helps and She integrates us with Our Lord—He is the only answer to all our needs.

“God has called us through the Gospel to possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Gospel Acclamation)

NO Homily from today :-( My yearly time to reflect

January 2, 2019 6:00 am

Dear Friends,

Today starts my time for my individual retreat. A very small hermitage, in the forest, in the middle of nowhere, but close to the Carmelite Fathers in Drzewina near Gdańsk.
Time for us. Time to reflect and to listen (hopefully) only to Him.
Please keep me in your prayers that I will be able to serve you and to lead you where Our Lord wants to lead you.
I will be back with my homilies on the 2o of January

Keeping You in my heart and prayers
with a blessing

we receive adoption as sons

January 1, 2019 6:00 am

“When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. As proof that you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’ So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then also an heir, through God.” (GAL 4: 4-7)

We “are no longer slaves but sons, and if sons then also heirs, through God.” Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lady, the Mother of God. She is also our Mother because we are Our Lord’s brothers and sisters, so we are also God’s children. We are never alone, abandoned or rejected; we are always loved, protected and connected.

“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets; in these last days, he has spoken to us through the Son.” (Gospel Acclamation)
