He remains faithful

“If we have died with him we shall also live with him; if we persevere we shall also reign with him. But if we deny him he will deny us. If we are unfaithful he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.” (2 TM 2: 11-13)

How lucky we are that our Lord gave us not only “a famine for hearing” His word, but also Himself to answer all our hungers. We can listen to Him when His word is proclaimed during the Mass, look at Him in the Blessed Sacrament and receive Him in Holy Communion, to say nothing of His constant presence in our hearts. He is the answer to all our needs and burdens.
